FUND RAISING TOMBOLA
On Saturday 18th June, the staff from Belle Vale Shopping Centre hosted a fun day in aid of Zoë’s Place, Liverpool. The fun, family activity was held on the mall including a tombola and face-painting. All proceeds from the event was donated to the Centre’s chosen charity, Zoë’s Place.
Belle Vale Shopping Centre hosted a special fun day to raise money and awareness for Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice. Shoppers were invited along on Saturday 18th June to enjoy a tombola, raffle and face-painting while raising money for a great cause. All of the items were donated and were either end-of-sale goods from retailers at the Centre or unwanted gifts including homeware, jewellery and children’s gifts.
The tombola and raffle proved to be very popular with most of the prizes being scooped up early on. Face painting was also available so that children could get a colourful make-over from a professional face painter. There was a small charge for the face painting and a percentage of proceeds was also donated to Zoë’s Place. The centre’s mascot Bella the Bee made appearances and posed for photographs throughout the day and this brought a smile to many faces.
Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice provides palliative, respite and end-of-life care to babies and infants aged from birth to five years old suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. Zoë’s Place is Belle Vale Shopping Centre’s chosen charity and the centre has been supporting the charity for many years. Together they work on events and promotions to fundraise for the charity and the team hope to raise more money this year than ever before. The centre’s team raised £720 towards their goal.
