Throughout the summer holidays, Belle Vale Shopping Centre will be hosting interactive activities for the whole family including; character appearances, workshops and competitions. The theme of this summer’s campaign is ‘Bella’s Busy Bees’; that is aimed at encouraging children to explore and learn new skills as well as inspiring adults to makeover their homes and gardens with inspiration from the centre’s retailers.

The first event is on Saturday 25th July which features a visit from a pair of colourful petal people. These have proven to be a big hit with children and adults alike and fit perfectly with the theme of this summer’s events. They perform a generous five 30 minute walkabouts in the centre, so there will be entertainment out on the mall all day. They will also be handing out entry forms to Bella the Bee’s kids club to encourage children to join the club.

The centre has launched the ‘Community Corner’ following the success of the ‘Big Little Library’ Project with Gateacre School. This designated area has been made available to the local community as a way to engage & interact with the centre’s visitors whilst offering helpful information and advice.

On Wednesdays between 10am & 12pm,  Rev Jane McKelvey uses this area to meet with people & offer support to anyone who is in need.

Belle Vale Police will hold their surgery at various times through the year.

The little library is located in this booth and is free for anyone to use. We only ask that you keep it tidy and donate any books when you have finished with them. there is a yellow box on the mall for the donation of books or you can simply add them to the shelves. This is a free service and we are keen to keep it active indefinitely, todate the centre has supported the exchange of over 10,000 books to the local community which has proved how popular this type of facility is.
