NEWS AND EVENTS: JUNE 2016
BLOOMING GREAT TEA PARTY
What’s brewing? Like baking the perfect cake, a Blooming Great Tea Party is all about the right ingredients – nice cuppas and naughty cakes, old friends and new faces, bad jokes and good conversation. It’s all about having a blooming great time while raising money for a blooming great cause. The money you raise will help to support families who was cared for at home by Marie Curie Nurses.
The BIG Little Library, by Gateacre School, is hosting a Blooming Great Tea party on Wednesday 22nd June, 11am to 4pm.
All visitors are welcome and all proceeds are going to a good cause.
WORLD WIDE KNIT IN PUBLIC DAY
BELLE VALE SHOPPING CENTRE PUTTING THE FUN IN FUNDRAISING
On Saturday 18th June, the staff from Belle Vale Shopping Centre is hosting a fun day in aid of Zoë’s Place, Liverpool. There will be fun, family activity on the mall including a tombola and face-painting. All proceeds from the event will go to the Centre’s chosen charity, Zoë’s Place.
Belle Vale Shopping Centre is hosting a special fun day to raise money and awareness for Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice. Shoppers are invited along on Saturday 18th June to enjoy a tombola, raffle and face-painting while raising money for a great cause. Tickets for the raffle and tombola start at just £1 and there are some fantastic prizes to be won. All of the items have been donated and are either end-of-sale goods from retailers at the Centre or unwanted gifts including homewares, jewellery and children’s gifts.
The tombola and raffle will open at 10am and once the prizes are gone, they’re gone! Face painting will take place from 11am so children can get a colourful make-over from a professional face painter. There will be a small charge for the face painting and a percentage of proceeds will go to Zoë’s Place. Plus, the Centre’s mascot Bella the Bee will be making appearances and posing for photographs throughout the day. All of the proceeds from the event will go directly to Zoë’s Place.
Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice provides palliative, respite and end-of-life care to babies and infants aged from birth to five years old suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. Zoë’s Place is Belle Vale Shopping Centre’s chosen charity and the centre has been supporting the charity for many years. Together they work on events and promotions to fundraise for the charity and the team hope to raise more money this year than ever before.
