The centre has launched the ‘Community Corner’ following the success of the ‘Big Little Library’ Project with Gateacre School. This designated area has been made available to the local community as a way to engage & interact with the centre’s visitors whilst offering helpful information and advice.
On Wednesdays between 10am & 12pm, Rev Jane McKelvey uses this area to meet with people & offer support to anyone who is in need.
Belle Vale Police will hold their surgery at various times through the year.
The little library is located in this booth and is free for anyone to use. We only ask that you keep it tidy and donate any books when you have finished with them. there is a yellow box on the mall for the donation of books or you can simply add them to the shelves. This is a free service and we are keen to keep it active indefinitely, todate the centre has supported the exchange of over 10,000 books to the local community which has proved how popular this type of facility is.
INDEPENDENTS DAY 2015
Belle Vale Shopping Centre will once again host the annual ‘Independents Day’ event to promote enterprise and business startups! The convention is FREE to the public and organised by Liverpool City Council. The event will be taking place on Friday 3rd July from 10am – 3pm.
Exhibition stands will be set up on the main mall by a range of organizations and professionals. The public are invited to come along and pick the brains of these experts, who have a wealth of experience and can advise on a range of career topics. These specialists are on hand to discuss how you can get your business off the ground and how to become job ready. Advice will be provided on business planning, funding, marketing and qualifications on a broad range of subjects.
The aim of the event is to raise awareness within the local community about the business services that are available to them. It will provide information on local training and further education where individuals can gain the skills and qualifications to build a business or become job ready. There is also the chance to discuss opportunities within Belle Vale Shopping Centre as the scheme currently has fantastic space, store units and retail merchandising units available, to help businesses reach out to new customers.
Paul Wilson, Centre Manager said; “We have seen an increase in small independents over the recent years and this is a fantastic opportunity for these businesses to find out what avenues there are out there to support their business growth. I am really pleased that Belle Vale Shopping Centre is going to play a part in enterprise within the community.”
